Up-tower service means that the serviceman brings with them related process equipment and tools to the wind turbine nacelle to deal with the gearbox fault, thus reducing lifting costs caused by gearbox down-tower and losses due to long-term wind turbine shutdown.
AVISTT can provide corresponding parts replacement and repairs based on different gearbox models.
Detailed up-tower service items can be divided into:
1. Services for gearbox shaft types: replacement of high-speed shafts, medium-speed shafts, and low-speed shafts;
2. Services for gearbox parts except shafts: replacement of small parts like rigid tubes, pitch tubes, seals and sensors; and treatment for oil penetration and gearbox leakage.
